Physical Education, Health, + Drivers Ed

About the Physical Education, Health, + Drivers Ed Department

All students will acquire the knowledge and skills of what is

most essential to become individuals who possess health and

physical literacy and pursue a life of wellness by developing the

habits necessary to live healthy, productive lives that positively

impact their families, schools and communities. All students

will utilize safe, efficient, and effective movement to develop

and maintain a healthy, active lifestyle. All students will apply

health-related and skill-related fitness concepts and skills to

develop and maintain a healthy, active lifestyle. Individuals who

learn to move safely, effectively, efficiently, and feel

comfortable and confident in the performance of motor skills,

are more likely to participate in health-enhancing forms of

physical activity throughout life. Lifetime fitness depends upon

understanding how each fitness component is developed and

measured and how to design and implement a personal fitness

plan that supports a healthy, active lifestyle.

Activities that are offered during Physical

Education include:

Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Strength and

Conditioning (Weight Room), Soccer, Tennis,
