Freshman Experience helps smooth transition to PHS

Piscataway High School welcomed ninth-graders over the summer for two days of informative and fun activities to smooth their entry into high school! The Freshman Experience sessions, held the week of Aug. 11, included ice breakers, team-building games, and Q&A sessions with peer mentors. It also featured a special presentation by Class of 2029 Assistant Principal Jonathan Bizzell and Dean of Students Cynthia Botett, and workshops covering technology tips, decision-making, and conflict resolution.

The week also included a parent/guardian night with a welcome by Principal Chris Baldassano and a presentation on ways that parents and the school partner to support student success during their transition to high school. Families also got to enjoy a dessert social sponsored by the Piscataway Township Education Association, providing them with opportunities to meet other families, staff, administrators, and community and school resource representatives.
