AP tutoring sessions give PHS students a boost of learning

Piscataway High School students got an extra shot of learning on Friday, Dec. 19, when the AP Ambassadors student group hosted an after-school tutoring session. Students went to breakout rooms for specific AP subject tutoring led by PHS AP teachers. The session began with a relaxation and meditation exercise led by Dr. Pat Connelly from The Haven.
AP Ambassadors is a diverse network of students with Advanced Placement course experience who support and encourage the success of current and future advanced-level course participants at PHS. Thanks to social studies teacher Holly Cregar-Porch and counselor Rodney West for helping the students organize the tutoring event, and to all the teachers who led the sessions.
This Ambassadors will also play a significant role during AP Family Night at PHS on Jan. 15, where they will present vital information to families and serve as panelists to answer questions from students interested in learning more about AP coursework.
