PHS AP Art students get creative with new printmaking technique

Students in Advanced Placement Art at Piscataway High School were excited by a workshop where they learned a printmaking technique that uses recycled cartons!
Tetra Pak intaglio is a technique that repurposes milk or juice cartons, by engraving a design onto the foil-lined cardboard to create a printing plate. The engraved lines hold ink, which is then transferred to paper or fabric under pressure, creating a reversed, black-and-white print.
Thanks to PHS art teachers Dorothy Amme and Lisa Lentini-Pombrio for offering this creative workshop!
