PHS 50 Strong donates time and energy to help feed the needy
Thank you to the young men of the Piscataway High School 50 Strong mentoring group for showing generosity and sense of community service in helping those who are less fortunate!
On March 26, the students visited the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK), a social services organization that feeds the hungry and provides programming and services for those who live in the Greater Trenton Area and are in need.
Our students were responsible for serving meals to those who came to the facility for lunch; making up to-go boxes for those who requested it; and making hygiene packets (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, feminine products, etc.) for all attendees.
The students of 50 Strong served over 200 meals and made over 250 hygiene packets, and look forward to volunteering at TASK again in the future. The groups is led by School Counselor Rodney West.
