PHS students had great weather and an amazing time at Freshman Field Day on Friday, April 17!
Ninth-graders competed in a wide variety of games and contests on the football field in teams made up of their Freshman Seminar classes, coached by their teachers and upperclass mentors.
The celebration is a culmination of another successful year for the PHS Freshman Seminar program, which is in its sixth year of providing transition support to ninth-graders. The program builds community and belonging in order to improve the likelihood that students will succeed academically, socially, and emotionally at PHS.
Thanks to Mentor Coordinator Dawne Dionisio, Coordinator of Special Projects Noel Aprile, and all the Freshman Seminar teachers and mentors for making the event such a success.
Thanks to junior Jagger Tinitigan of The Chieftain school newspaper for his amazing photos!
